Wood in some cultures is a sub element of earth and in others it is not it is on it’s own. From the earth stand point it is a fixed element and the opposite would be any element that is non fixed like air or water. Remember air powers wind so if strong enough can rip a tree out of the ground and water replenishes the tree in which wood comes from.
